Amity Institute of Applied Sciences (AIAS) was established under the aegis of Amity University, Uttar Pradesh with a vision to be a Center of Excellence for Physical, Chemical, Mathematical and Statistical Sciences. The institute's highly qualified faculty includes more than 98% doctorates. AIAS offers UG, PG and doctoral programs in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics and Medical Physics. It has research collaborations with the labs of Govt of India as well as international universities and research institutes. The highly research oriented faculty regularly publishes papers in journals of high repute. AIAS faculty has filed a number of patents and has got sanctioned projects from premier funding agencies. Conferences, seminars and workshops are organized frequently.


AIARS (M&D) was established to carry out research on advanced materials and devices. The department has to its credit a highly experienced faculty and state-of-the-art labs, equipments, apart from facilities like SEM, AFM, DLS,  spectrophotometer, Electrical Measurements Systems, etc. The department has filed 32 patents and published more than 50 papers in referred journals.
