Amity University Madhya Pradesh, Gwalior celebrated its ninth Raising Day with great fervour and joy on 19thSept 2019. The occasion was graced by the benign presence of Hon’ble Chairman AUMP and Additional President RBEF, Dr. Aseem Chauhan. Also present were Vice President RBEF, Dr. J. Girish, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, AUMP Lt Gen V K Sharma, AVSM (Retd.) and Ms. Manju Singh, Principal, Amity International School, Gwalior, all the HoIs, HoDs, members of faculty and staff and the entire body of students. . The festivities of the day began with invocation of Goddess Saraswati and lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the dignitaries. Hon’ble Vice Chancellor welcomed the dignitaries by offering them a sapling each. This was followed by the presentation achievement of the University for the year 2018-19 presented by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor AUMP. Revisiting and reconnecting with continuing journey of the University he apprised the audience about the achievements of the students and faculty in different fields as well as the recognitions received by Amity University Madhya Pradesh at National and State levels.
The anniversary issue of “The Amitian”, the monthly newsletter of AUMP, was also released on this occasion. Following this, Hon’ble Chairman Dr. Aseem Chauhan, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Lt Gen Sharma along with Dr. J Girish and other dignitaries gave away the Academic Excellence Awards for the session 2018-19 and also the Dr. Ashok K Chauhan 100%, 50% and 30% Scholarship Awards for the session 2019-20.
“Parwaz” – a cultural show was presented by the students of AUMP as an expression of their joy and enthusiasm. This was followed by the address of Hon’ble Chairman who expressed his confidence in the talent of the Amitians. Sharing the dream of Dr Ashok K Chauhan, our beloved Founder President, he urged each Amitian to have a dream in life and work tirelessly towards it. He also invited five students to express their views on the occasion and was very happy to see their confidence and communication skills.
Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Lt Gen V K Sharma AVSM (Retd), presented mementos to Hon’ble Chairman, Dr Aseem Chauhan, to Dr J Girish and to the Principal, AIS Mrs Manju Singh. The programme ended with the Vote of thanks proposed by Prof (Dr) R S Tomar, Dean Academics, AUMP.
