Amity Law School, Amity University Madhya Pradesh organized its third Edition of Model United Nations successfully on 6thand 7thAugust 2019.
AUMP Model United Nations has seen an exponential rise in the participation ever since the organization of its first Edition.
The two-days event had 7 Committees including the International Press. The Conference hosted 4 United Nations Committees namely: United Nations Security Council, United Nations Human Rights Council, UNGA: Legal & UNGA: DISEC and 2 National Committees namely Lok Sabha and All India Political Parties Meet. The International Press represented the international media responsible for enlightening the general masses about the on-goings of the global crisis.
Since the inception of this conference, the Secretariat has worked immensely hard to ensure that the young minds of the country are given guidance by the best experts. We had the good fortune of hosting people from various well acclaimed schools and universities namely National Law Institute University, Indraprastha University, Amity University Noida, Gwalior Glory High School, Army Public School, Delhi Public School, Greenwood Public School, GD Goenka Public School, Little Angels High School, Bhandari Public School, Khandwa and many more individual delegates. The MUN Conference also had a participant from Dubai. As per the feedback of the Committees, it was the most prestigious Model United Nations Conference of Central India. Total 370 delegates & 14 Executive Board members Participated in event
This year the University had the pleasure of having Prof Dr Sukhsimranjit Singh, Managing Director, Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution and Law Professor, Pepperdine University as our chief guest for the Inaugural Session. Prof Singh illuminated the young minds about the importance of setting goals and following role models and the factors to attain success in life. Prof Singh personally interacted with the students during Committee Sessions and guided them about pursuing education abroad. ALS entrusted into MOU with Pepperdine University on this occasion, wherein we’ll go a long way in continued association of ALS with Pepperdine University. He also agreed to be the Ph.D. co-guide of one of our faculties (Mr. Arun Kumar Sharma).
The Chief Guest for the valedictory ceremony was Maj Gen Ashwani Siwach, YSM, VSM** (Retd.), who is an eminent personality known for his great vigour and courage. Gen Siwach enlightened the students with his wisdom and imparted unmatched knowledge that will stay with the students for life. The Prices of Best Delegate, Special mention were given.
The event was a grand success, appreciated deeply by faculties and staff of several departments of the University and schools. The support and guidance of the Hon’ble VC had been unwavering throughout the course of these two days. The Secretariat were the backbone of this mega event who made every possible effort and left no page unturned in order to make this event what it is today.
AUMP MUN 3.0 is a legacy of incredible deliberations and debates for the future generations to follow.
