International Conference on “Impact of Globalization on Pharmaceutical Industry and Research: Role of Media and Communication”

 Amity Institute of Pharmacy (AIP) in collaboration with Amity Institute of Communication (ASCO), Amity University, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh has been organised one day international conference on “Impact of Globalization on Pharmaceutical Industry and Research: Role of Media and Communication” on Date 23rdAugust 2019. The conference was chaired by Lt. Gen. V.K. Sharma  AVSM (Retd), Vice Chancellor Amity University, Gwalior. The occasion was graced with the auspicious presence of Honourable Chief guest and key note speakers Dr. R.K. Goyal, (Vice Chancellor, DPSRU, New Delhi, India), Dr. Subba Rao Gavaravarapu (Scientist E, National Institute of Nutrition, Hyderabad, India), Dr. Kanchan Kohli (Professor, Dept of Pharmacy, Jamia Hamdard University, New Delhi, India), and Ms Surabhi Nangia Pandit (Director Outreach and Engagement at Data Leads, Health Analytics Asia, India).

The conference was started with lamp lightning ceremony. The opening remark was given by Hon’ble VC Lt Gen VK Sharma AVSM (Retd). Hon’ble VC has emphasized the importance of allopathic and non allopathic treatment approaches in maintaining health of individuals, Quality systems and artificial intelligence.

In the first session of conference, Dr. R.K. Goyal has been delivered a key note lecture on “Role of Media and Communication with Research Prospectus on Globalization of Pharma Industry.” Other key note speaker, Dr. Subba Rao Gavaravarapu has delivered a talk on “Globalized Health & Pharma Globalized Media & Communication”. The conference proceedings were released by Hon’ble VC, chief guests Dr. R. K. Goyal, Keynote speakers, esteemed faculty members and guests from various institutions. 

In the second session of the conference, Dr. Kanchan Kohli delivered a lecture on “Address on impact of Globalization in Pharmaceutical Industry and Research” and Dr Surabhi Nangia Pandit on “Fake News”. Total more than 30 posters and about 7 oral presentations have been presented in the conference. Dr. Mukul Telang, Professor, School of Studies in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Jiwaji University, Dr. S.K. Verma, Senior Scientist, DRDE, Gwalior and Dr. Tanveer Naved, Joint Head, AIP, Noida evaluated the oral and poster sessions, respectively. The Hon’ble VC and Pro VC Amity University, awarded prized to the winners of poster and oral presentations. The conference declared closed by the concluding remarks of Prof M.P. Kaushik, Pro Vice Chancellor, Amity University, Gwalior. At the end of the Conference, Dr. Sumit Narula (Director, ASCO) delivered their vote of thanks.
