Amity University Madhya Pradesh organized a guest lecture on ‘Leadership – The Vedic Way’ in the Auditorium on 29 July 2019. Major General Rajesh Kundra, SM, General Officer Commanding, Maharashtra and Gujarat Sub Area was invited to enlighten the students on the various aspects of the Vedic way of Leadership.
The mesmerizing session commenced with the ways and means great and successful people adopt in their lives to reach dizzy heights. Talking about myriad ways to achieve success, Maj General Kundra informed that Vedic leadership is about balancing the soul and mind which is the essence of effective leadership.
Citing examples from his personal experiences Maj General Kundra shed light on the values, ethics and morals students should imbibe in their lives to evolve as a leader in today’s competitive world.
The guest speaker elaborately and lucidly explained the power of 4 P’s according to Vedic Science; which are Power of Faith, Conscience, Fear and Energy. Maj General Kundra, SM gave the Mantra of success to the students of Amity University- “Leadership is an influence of personal power that creates progressively advancing towards common purpose.”
Having a vast experience of about thirty years in Indian Army, the esteemed guest quoted eminent personalities like Swami Vivekanand, Mahatma Gandhi Azim Premji and Warren Buffet to motivate students to think out of the box and assimilate their positive energies for a bright future.
He opined that students should strike a balance between domain knowledge and soft skills for achieving success.He summed up the lecture by emphasizing upon the combination of IQ and EQ which results into SQ (Spiritual Quotient).
The enthusiastic students posed questions to the guest speaker and were extremely enriched with the answers given by the speaker. This interactive and mesmerizing session was highly applauded by all the students and faculty members of the university. Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Lt Gen V K Sharma offered a token of gratitude to the guest speaker towards the end of the lecture.The lecture was attended by around 500 students of third year students from all the streams across the university, PhD scholars and PhD students of the university.
The occasion was graced by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Lt Gen V K Sharma, AVSM (Retd.), Pro-Vice Chancellor, Prof.(Dr) M P Kaushik, Deans, HoIs, HoDs the members of the faculty and staff of AUMP. The event culminated with the concluding remarks by the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor AUMP, Lt Gen V K Sharma, AVSM (Retd). A token of gratitude was also offered to the esteemed guest by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Lt Gen V K Sharma, AVSM (Retd).
