Amity Institute of Behavioral & Allied Sciences (AIBAS), AUMP organized an Expert Lecture on Cyber Psychology by Mr. Kaushalendra Sharma and Mr. Anil Sharma, Sub Inspector, Gwalior city on 20thFebruary, 2020 for the students of M.Phil Clinical Psychology, U.G, P.G Psychology and Minor track. The lecture was organized with the objective to study the psychological effects and implications of computer and online technologies such as internet and virtual reality: that includes behaviour on Social Media, Internet Addiction, and Cyber Bullying.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Kaushalendra Sharma explained thevarious facets of Cyber Psychology, Cyber Stalking, Extortion, Spoofing, and Cyber Crimes. He talked about the Privacy Policy which is easily available on various applications. He catered usage of Disposable Email Accounts and explained the importance of it.
Mr. Anil Sharma discussed the Network Etiquette and Do's and Don'ts of Online Communication. Further, he discussed about common online courtesy and the informal "Rules of the Road" of Cyberspace.
The session concluded with pertinent questions being asked by the students. The students were enthusiastic and interacted with an urge to know more about Privacy and Security policies available in Mobiles and Cyber World and how to take precautions to safe guard against cyber-crimes. The lecture was attended 145 students from UG & PG programmes. The entire lecture was very informative and insightful for the students.
The expert lecture was inaugurated by Dr. Deepa Pandey, Officiating Head of Institute of AIBAS, Dr. Rajendra Kumar Sharma, Head of the Department of Clinical Psychology, the Organizing Committee and the faculty members of AIBAS.
