Industrial Advisory Board Panel Discussion

The Industrial Advisory Board Panel Discussion was organized by the Amity School of Hospitality (ASH) on 30 October 2025, with the aim of providing students with in-depth exposure to contemporary transformations in the hospitality and tourism industry. Coordinated by Mr. Pratip Mazumdar, Director and Professor of Practice, the event sought to familiarize students with the impact of Artificial Intelligence and automation on hospitality operations and service delivery, as well as the evolving concept of luxury shaped by personalization, storytelling, and the expectations of Generation Z.

The panel discussion was designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry practices by engaging students with real-world insights, emerging trends, and strategic perspectives from industry experts, thereby enhancing their career readiness, critical thinking, and adaptability in a rapidly changing professional landscape.

The panel discussion was successfully conducted with the participation of 25 BHM and BTTM students of ASH, faculty members, and an external industry expert, Mr. Namit Agnihotri, Area General Manager at Roseate Hotels & Resorts. The first segment of the discussion focused on the role of Artificial Intelligence, robotics, and automation in guest services, hotel operations, revenue management, and travel assistance, highlighting both the efficiency and personalization offered by technology and the continued importance of human warmth and emotional hospitality. The second segment explored how luxury travel and hospitality were being reimagined for Generation Z through experiential storytelling, sustainable luxury, cultural authenticity, social media influence, and hyper-personalization.
