International Business Summit INBUSH 2012 concludes with Sonu Nigam Night

Amity International Business School and Amity Global Business School organized “INBUSH 2012- an International Business Summit from 22nd to 24th February at Amity Campus, Sector-125, Noida, which concluded with a star night performance by singer Sonu Nigam.

The event proceeded with the enlightening address by Maj. Gen. K.J. Singh, Vice Chancellor, AUUP and Prof.(Dr.) Gurinder Singh Pro vice Chancellor (I), Amity University and DG, AIBS.

Prof.(Dr.) Gurinder Singh shared that more than 200 research papers and 180 case studies have been presented during the 3 day summit. He emphasized that the prospective businessmen of this generation must become creators and great visionaries.

Special Guest, Prof. (Dr.) Uma Kumar, Professor of Management Science & Technology Management, Director, Research Centre for Technology Management, Eric Sprott School of Business, Carleton University, Canada was conferred with Adjunct Professorship during the valediction to stimulate the growing relations with Carleton University.

The panelist for the day included eminent personalities such as Dr. Sharda.S.Nandram, Nyenrod Business School, Jude Lubega Chair, Department of Information Technology, Makerere University, Uganda, Mr. Mukesh Singh, Zee News, Mr. Rakesh Sharma, Information TV Pvt. Ltd, Mr. Sangram Choudhary, National Dairy Development Board, Mr. Gaurav Kalra, Sports Editor, CNN IBN, Dr. Sheela Yadav, Dean and Associate Professor, School of Business, University of Indianapolis, Mr. Aditya Agarwal, Chief Executive Officer, Morningstar India Pvt. Ltd, Dr. Umesh Gupta, Founder and CEO, Umkal Hospital, Mr. Abhay Kumar, President, Tally Solutions Private Limited, Mr. Kavee Kumar, Country Head, Globe Capital Market Ltd.

Mr. Kavee Kumar, Country Head, Globe Capital Market Ltd. Shared his experiences with the gathering and explained how the world has become completely profit oriented. He also said, that a businessman oriented mindset should be instilled at the university level itself.

Dr. Umesh Gupta, Founder and CEO, Umkal Hospital emphasized on the importance of growth of knowledge rather than profits. He called upon the to be skiled in their line of work and learn adequate time management. He also mentions that in an office environment, the employee-employer relationship must be on good terms in order to maintain stability in the work area.

Dr. Sharda.S.Nandram, Nyenrod Business School spoke about the spiritual innovation in the working environment. She expressed her concerns over the rising stress levels, and that even though the motive of all organizations is to maximize profits, but in reality this has never been taught in any culture.

The session concluded with the conferring of ‘Amity Excellence Awards’ to various organizations such as: National Dairy Development Board (Amity Corporate Excellence Award for Corporate Social Responsibility), JBM Group (Amity Corporate Excellence Award for leveraging Technology in Global Business), Umkal Hospital (Amity Corporate Excellence Award for Intellectual Human Resource Utilization) etc.

The Summit was ended with the performance of the popular singing sensation Sonu Nigam as a part of the cultural programme.
