Day 1 AGBS, Bangalore welcomed the new batch of MBA & BBA students on the 24th of August, 2011 with a traditional auspicious beginning a “havan”. The registration of students was done earlier by the Admin staff. The havan was attended by all staff, faculty , students and parents. All those present for the havan were invited for lunch to the rooftop canteen. The Director General, Dr TR Venkatesh addressed the students in the post lunch session. He emphasized on the importance of a holistic education and introduced core and visiting faculty. Then, the Dean Prof. S Murali briefed the gathering on Academic Philosophy, Evaluation and the Examination System. He stressed on the learning gained by participating in co curricular activites.The last session of the day was handled by Prof N Nagamani. The Dress Code that students had to follow and about the discipline that was maintained on campus.



Day 2 The next day began with a proficiency test wherein students were tested on different management aspects. After a short break, a Microlabbing session was conducted by the Dean and Prof. Nishi. This was greatly enjoyed by the students, who wanted to continue even after the stipulated time. In the post lunch session Prof. Indira Aiyer motivated the students to make full use of their two years at Amity both academically and non academically. The last session of the day was an interaction with alumni, who taught entrants the Amity clap, cleared some queries, showed pics & videos about their stay at Amity and said great things about faculty.
