AmityInstitute of Information Technology (AIIT) & Amity School of AlliedSciences (ASAS) in association with Amity School of Engineering &Technology (ASET) organized a Workshop-cum -Lecture Session on "EmergingTechnologies" at AUK Auditorium on 3rd Feb' 17. Theprogram started with the welcome note by Prof. Dhrubajyoti Chattopadhyay,hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Amity University Kolkata followed by Dr. SushantaMitra, Director-Amity Institute of Applied Sciences and Information Technologyand Prof. Dr. G. L. Sharma, Director-Amity School of Engineering &Technology. Thedistinguished speakers are: Mr.Amitava Parui, General Manager-Ericsson delivered a speech on EmergingTechnologies in Telecom Industry Mr.Asim Kumar Basu-CEO- Hindustan Motorsspoke on Emerging Technologies in Automobile Industry Mr.Rahul Bose-Talent & Education Lead, IBM, on EmergingTechnologies in the IT Landscape The entire programme was highlyinformative and had a touch on recent trends of tools and technologies indiversified landscape like IT, Automobile and Telecom. The HODs, facultymembers and students of Engineering and applied sciences attended the workshopsessions. The felicitation to the distinguished speakers were given by Prof.Sharma, Director, ASET and Prof. Mitra, Director- AIIT & AIAS. The programme ended with the vote of thanksby, Dr. Anirban Das, HOD-Computer Science & Engineering. |
