ACADEMIC DELEGATES from STATE UNIVERSITY OF NEW YORK OSWEGO Visits AMITY UNIVERSITY KOLKATA With their Students

On Monday, January 11, 2016, a delegation of academics fromState University of New York Oswego, New York 13126, USA, visited AmityInstitute of Social Sciences, Amity University, Kolkata for interactive discussions on Research Papers and mutual Students and Academia Exchange Programmes with the Directors and Faculty of AUK, at their Rajarhat-Newtown campus in Kolkata.The Faculties of AISS (Dept. of PoliticalScience), AIPAS (Dept. of Applied Psychology), ASE (Dept. ofEconomics), and ASC (Dept. of Mass Communication & Journalism) attended and participated in the interactive discussions with the delegates from SUNY Oswego. Our respected Assistant Vice-President Mr Vipin Sharma and respected Registrar Wg Cdr D K Banerji also graced the occasion. The delegation of academics included Dr Patricia Clark (Dept. of English), Prof. Arvind Diddi (Dept. of Journalism), Prof. Cristina Dragomir (Dept.of Political Science), Profs. Chris Mack, Ming Te Pan, and Uyilawa Usuanlele (Dept. of History), Prof. Ulises Mejias (Dept. of Communication Studies), and Prof. Joshua Mcwan (Director International School) from SUNY Oswego, and Prof. Paula Banerjee (School of South Asian Studies), University of Calcutta. The delegation of academics from SUNY Oswega was warmly welcomed in traditional Bengali style by the AUKfaculty. The valediction was proposed by respected Director and HOI Amity School Of Management Dr Ankita Chakravarty Bhattacharya and uttariyos(ceremonial stoles) were presented to all the visiting delegates. A memento on behalf of AUK was presented to Prof. Joshua Mcwan by our respected Vice-Chancellor.On 12th January 2016 , the State University of New York (SUNY)-OSWEGO and Amity School of Communication (ASCO) students along with their faculty participated in a joint workshop at Amity University, West Bengal, Kolkata campus. Noted communication professional Mr Kaushik Bhadury led the workshop in which both school students performed. The students demonstrated their communication and artistic skills through creative performance. It was a wonderful and enlightening experience for the students.
