Amity University Rajasthan as a part of its tradition organized its annual sports meet 'Sangathan 2012' to commemorate the founder's day. Maj. Gen. H. Bhanot, Operations and Logistics, Western Command was the chief guest for inaugural session. The event started with flag hosting by the esteemed guest and release Sangathan mascot: pigeons. March past was performed by students of AUR showcasing spirit of unity and discipline. Students also performed a Rajasthani folk dance for the cultural welcome of the guest. The chief guest, Maj. Gen. Bhanot was over-whelmed to the see efforts put in by the students and said, "Sports are an integral part of a student's life and there should be a proper balance between the studies and the sports." Maj. Gen. B.N. Kaul, Pro VC AUR congratulated the students for their diligence and hard work which they had put in to make this event possible. The first day saw various sports activities which started with the Bicycle Race, where Rajpal (MAE) and Anuradha (BioTech) secured the first position. The winners of 100m relay race boys was Kshrey (B.tech ME) and girls was Khusboo (MCA). The day also saw 4x100 relay races where MAE and CS departments in the boys and girls category respectively, triumphed the competition. The second day started with sports like faculty vs staff cricket match, football match, tug of war etc. were organized.The inauguration of shooting range by Mr. Sanjeev Rajput, Arjun Awardee for shooting. The event ended with a closing ceremony and Prize distribution. Maj.Gen M.L. Arora was the chief guest for closing ceremony
