AGBS Noida - Orientation -2014 Details

ORIENTATION PROGRAM REPORT

The orientation program for MBA and BBA students started on the 26th of August 2014 with all the parents, students, Associate Dean and HOI & the faculty. The program started at 12 pm with the havan at F2 Foyer where we had MBA and BBA students for this year intake.

During the Havan the students and faculty sought the blessings from the almighty. The opening speech was delivered by Dr Sanjay Srivastava, Mentor AGBS, Dean FMS &Examination. He shared with the students the importance of their two years while undergoing their MBA and to seek knowledge and learn to the best of ones ability and become able people. Honourable Mr. U Ramachandran, V.P. & AGBS National Head, was present with the entire HQ team and gave his blessings.

The Orientation program started by welcoming the MBA and BBA by Dr. Ruchi Sinha and Ms Aparajita Das gupta, Associate Dean. Mr. U Ramachandran, Vice President,National Head Campus & Director AGBS Noida; oriented the new students with a presentation on Amity Universe.In the welcome address he conveyed to the students the Vision and Mission of our Honorable Founder President – Dr. Ashok K .Chauhan beloved Shri Atul Chauhan, President – RBEF and Chancellor

Event: Introduction to Amity Universe: The session was briefed by Mr. U Ramachandran. The Anti ragging measures session was briefed by Dr JN Kaul followed by the Briefing on Academic Philosophy &Examination Evaluation by Brig. V.K. Kashyap

The second day started with the ice breaking session taken by Ms Shiva Goyal and Ms Heena Pura facilitated by faculty and senior students. “INNOVATION IN YOU” was conducted through groups bringing out the importance of team work and the final winners received a token of appreciation.

A session on sports activities by Dr. Kalpana Sharma - Director, ASPESS. Prof. Abha Singh -Director AIPS presented an interactive session on Behavioral Sciences highlighting the importance of the discipline to a management student.Respected Lt. Gen B.K. Bopanna informed the students about the Military Training Camp held at the Manesar campus.

ALUMNI SESSION –This was one of the most awaited activities where the students could interact with the alumni. The alumni shared their experience both as a student and as a professional. They stressed on the importance of networking and opportunities for setting their short term and long term career goals. Mr Debashish Mukherjee from Crowne Plaza IHG Group, Mr Subhashish Banerjee from Orlikon Graziano, Mr Vikram Rathor and Mr Inderjeet Singh from E&Y, Mr Siddhant Rana from Dish Tv & Ms Kamayani Rajavanshi from Green Tree Consulting invited questions from the students

INDUSTRY INTERACTION WITHCORPORATE LEADERS

Ms.Asmeeta Kachroo and Mr Gopal from AGBS Headquarters informed the students about Campus Recruitment Opportunities followed by an informative session by Ms.Aparajita Das Gupta on the Campus Selection Criteria. The discussion was followed by an Alumni Discussion Forum and an Interactive Session with Industry guests with the theme “Business School Learning to Corporate Sector.” Venerated Dr. Shyamalendu Niyogi was the moderator for the session. All the esteemed industry captains shared very valuable mantras with the students. The Panel comprised ofMr Aviral Tripathi Northern Head & Mr. Mohit Jindal – Sr Finance Manager –EZ Automation, Mr Vipul Bansal MD & CEO- Sunhill Systems Pvt Ltd, Mr. NitinKumar Chief Strategy Manager – International Business – Escorts, and MsDivyaSingh – Endritz Hydro, Mr Achint Rastogi-Director Sales Crowne Plaza, Mr. Deepayan Das – Sr. GM Strategic Customer Sales and Segments & Mr Pritish Mukherji – Sr BDM – SKF India Ltd,Sanjeev Bharadwaj – CEO and Chairman Enterprise Service Partners- , & Ms. Bhavdeep Kaur – Sr GM – AMP Motors

Third day started with a Psychometric Profiling by respected Dr. Sanjay Srivastava. This was followed by an interactive session on “Study Abroad Program” by Ms. Ashima Wadhwa. Ms Shiva Goyal conducted a session on the workings of AMIZONE followed by a proficiency test conducted by Dr. Ruchi Sinha. With the faculties.

The day’s activities ended with splendor and grandeur, blessings by a concluding speech by esteemed guest Dr. (Mrs.) Balvinder Shukla - Vice Chancellor, Amity University. She gave a motivating speech highlighting the efforts of AGBS Noida in organizing the Orientation Programme and wished the students all the best for their upcoming years at Amity. She stressed on aiming at high goals. She further emphasized in believing in oneself through adversity and coming out of challenges and to maintain a balance between personal as well as ones professional life.
