National Seminar on

“Technology and Innovation Management for Organisational Growth”

A National Seminar titled “Technology and Innovation Management for Organisational Growth” was organised on 20^th Nov. 2013 by the Amity Business School, Amity University Gwalior.

The inaugural session started with the traditional lighting of the lamp followed by the opening remarks of the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor AUMP, Lt. Gen. V. K. Sharma AVSM (Retd.) Dr. Mrs. Manjula Chaudhary, Director, Indian Institute of Travel & Tourism Management, Gwalior was the Guest of Honour on the occasion while Prof. (Dr.) S. Sitaraman, Senior Vice President RBEF graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The dignitaries along with Dr. Anil Vashisht Dy. Director Amity Business School also released the first issue of the Amity Journal of Management.

The seminar sought to provide a platform for academics, corporate and young researcher to share their learning, experience and stimulate ideas for further growth and research in this vital area. It received an overwhelming response. Resource people & participants from across the country travelled to Gwalior to join in the deliberations.

The 1st technical session of the seminar was chaired by Prof. B. P. Singh former Head & Dean, Delhi School of Economics, Associate Vice President Sales - Ceasefire Industries Limited, Mr. Javed Khan was the Guest of Honour in this session while Dr. P. K. Jain, Director, Faculty of Management Studies, M. S.University, Udaipur was the Keynote Speakar.

The 2nd Technical Session was chaired by Ms. Arti Pandey who is the Head Talent Acquisition (Pan India) Kuhne & Nagel International AG. Prof. Deepali Singh, Professor Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management was the Guest of Honour in this session. The Keynote address was given by Prof. N. M.Sharma, Professor, Faculty of Management Studies Rajasthan University Jaipur. Another distinguished speaker in this session was Dr. Alok Rai, Professor, Faculty of Management Studies, Banaras Hindu University, Vanarasi.

The valedictory session of the seminar was chaired by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor AUMP, Lt. Gen. V. K. Sharma AVSM (Retd.), Prof. S. Sitaraman was the distinguished chief guest and Ms. Arti Pandey the Corporate Chief Guest. The book of Abstracts was also released in this session. Dr. Pranav Dhar Associate Professor, West Bengal State University was given a cash prize, certificate and a memento for the best paper presentation.The session concluded with the remarks of Dr. Anil Vashisht, Deputy Director, Amity Business School and Organising Secretary of the seminar.
