Amity Global Business School, Ahmedabad Orientation Program started with much fun and fare on 2nd September 2014. Orientation programs are key to new students experience of the business school environment.


2nd September 2014

To mark the beginning of the session on an auspicious note “HAVAN” was organized in the campus. Seeking Blessings from our Respected Founder President Dr. Ashok K Chauhan, Beloved President, Shri Atul Chauhan, our Honorable VP, Mr Ramchandran, Mr Haresh Kothari, Director, AGBS Ahmedabad, extended a cordial and warm welcome to all the students and their parents to Amity family. To celebrate the occasion Lunch was organized at the AGBS Ahmedabad campus for all the faculties, staff members and students.

Mr.Haresh Kothari congratulated all the students on successful completion of their 12th and graduation and on final selection to AGBS Ahmedabad. He encouraged the students through his welcome speech. The guest for the occasion was Prof. Bharat Dalal. Ex-professor,IIM Ahmedabad. He has completed his MBA from Stanford University and ITP from Harvard University is a leading Management Consultant. He highlighted how the booming economy of Gujarat will give them tremendous opportunity to grow. He urged the students to increase their reading and grasping power.

Following the session Dr.Neha Parashar and Ms. Anu Verghese then briefed the students about the Discipline The Anti-Ragging Measures at Amity.

3rd September 2014

The second day started on a vibrant note with the session being attended by senior dignitaries from Amity University Noida Campus.The occasion was graced by Dr. Sanjay Srivastava,Dean FMS Examination, AUUP; Shri U.Ramachandran, VP, Head AGBS Campuses; Mr. Gauravh Gupta DGM Marketing. Shri U. Ramachandran, introduced the students to the Amity family and shared his rich experience of last 12 years of wonderful association with the Amity group. It was an interactive session where he invited the students to come and share there aspirations. The session was followed by an Introduction to the AMITY Universe by Mr. Gauravh Gupta. Through his address Mr. Gauravh Gupta introduced the students to the values,culture mission of the AMITY family.Dr. Sanjay Shrivastav then proceeded with his interactive session with the new students of the M.B.A, B.B.A batch. His words of wisdom and Psychometric Testing motivated students to adapt themselves by identifying their skills and be comfortable, and confident in today’s competitive business environment. Dr. Sanjay Shrivastav also had an interactive session with the Second Year students of the M.B.A batch at the campus later in the day.

Post lunch the new batch of MBA and BBA also had an Interactive Session Alumni’s of AGBS, Ahmedabad who are doing well in the industry. Senior Students of MBA, BBA courses welcomed their juniors by giving them a brief Snapshot of life at AGBS, Ahmedabad through a lively presentation and interaction for an hour.

The day ended on a perfect note with a session by Prof. Poonam Sharma, Prof. Jagpreet Gandhi, Prof.Nirmal Soni and Prof. Ashish Siddiqui who made the students participate and play various management games. As the title of the session was “Together we bond at AGBS” students were imparted lessons on Team Building, Managing Diversity, Creativity in a unique and entertaining way.

4th September 2014

The third day started with a session on “Campus Recruitment for Final Placement and SIP” which was conducted by Dr. Pallavi Mittal, Prof. Jagpreet Gandhi and Mr.Deepal Gajjar. The faculties briefed the students on the functioning of the placement cell. The faculties briefed the students about the various industry interactions and visits conducted in the past.

The Grand Community Lunch was prepared and served by the new batch to all the Faculties Staff

The 3rd and the last day of the Orientation 2014 ended with a vote of thanks to all by Dr. Pallavi Mittal.
