It was a momentous occasion for Amity University when Amity University Logo was unveiled by Dr. Ashok K Chauhan- Founder President, RBEF and Mr. Atul Chauhan- Chancellor, Amity University during the joyful celebration of “Sangathan 2007- Inter institutional Sports Meet”. The “Logo” represents Amity’s philosophy of “modernity blends with tradition”. The “ Shield” in logo stands for traditional aspect and “ Flame” signifies wisdom and knowledge, so close to the heart of the Founder.

Every year Amity Campuses across India - Lucknow, Manesar, Noida and Delhi participate in this month long mega event which commemorates the birthday of Dr. Ashok K Chauhan- Founder President, Amity Universe.

This year “Sangathan” saw the participation of 5,000 students who competed in 35 different sports and games including badminton, squash, , basketball, volleyball, karate, judo, cricket, chess, swimming, tug of war to clinch the much coveted trophies.

Students, faculty members, institutional heads and senior officers of Amity Universe thronged the grounds of Amity University to celebrate the birthday of the revered Founder President. The colorful flags mounted on the boundary walls sashayed with the whiffs of air. The unfurling of “Sangathan Flag” marked the beginning of the glittering ceremony followed by an impressive march past by students of Amity International School’s and participating institutes.

Dr. Ashok K Chauhan, an educationist, a philanthropist, a visionary, a mentor and a guide all rolled into one, has brought a revolution in the field of private education. Expressing his joy on the solidarity and respect shown by the entire Amity family on Founder’s Day, Dr. Chauhan said it’s really joyous to see overwhelming participation of all the students, institutes and departments of Amity Universe. Encouraging the enthusiasm of the students, Dr. Chauhan remarked, “Amity believes in nurturing talent and that talent can be nurtured only if students believe in themselves and their potential. If students are brimming with confidence and faith, success will inevitably follow them.” He convincingly said that students of Amity with their professional competence and result oriented approach would prove their worth to the entire world and prove to be an asset for any organization.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. (Mrs) Amita Chauhan- Chairperson, Amity International Schools congratulated Amity universe for successfully organizing Founder’s Day with impeccability and perfection. She called upon students to look upon Dr. Chauhan as a role model, since he has discharged all his responsibilities par excellence and has been able to build Amity Universe in such a short span of time. She urged the students to have a mission and vision in their life which can really drive them to achieve new heights and explore un-trodden paths.

Congratulating Dr. Chauhan on his birthday, Mr. Atul Chauhan- Chancellor, Amity University paid a tribute to his vision and mission. He motivated the students to be committed to the vision and passion of Dr. Chauhan of making India a “Superpower” by 2010 and take his vision further and further not only in decades to come but centuries. He announced the new initiative of Amity University on this occasion with a state of art “Sports Complex” that will come up in Amity University, Noida. The “Sports Complex” will comprise of an Olympic size swimming pool, four synthetic tennis courts, two basket ball courts, four badminton courts, two squash courts, gymnasium, a cricket ground and a football ground. He along with the Amity Universe took a pledge to “serve and respect their country and its people, to be humble and morally upright.
