Amity Global Business School, Ahmedabad organised an event on International Women’s Day (8th March) at its campus to felicitate and salute inspiring and successful Women who have made a significant contribution to society.

Three eminent Women shared their insights and life story experiences, giving the management students a glimpse of what it takes to succeed as a Woman.
The guests of honour were Ms. Sonal Modi, who has been keenly involved in raising charity by translating work of celebrated writers like Sudha Murthy and Rashmi Bansal for which she has been awarded “Sakhi” Stree Shakti Award. She has been contributing in liberating women folk from bondage and inferior status though her various activities including writing and teaching, and is also actively involved in the development of children.

Ms. Pushplata Dikshit who with her strong will, determination and faith in God has taken her life and business to new heights and has been nominated for Rashtriya Udhyog Pratibha Awards in the year 2010.

Ms. Anar Patel, founder member and trustee of “ManavSadhna” and “Gramshree” has been working passionately for the holistic development and upliftment of underprivileged women and street children by creating a platform for their overall development, for which she has been awarded “Gujarat Gaurav” award and “Sakhi Shakti”.

Their individual efforts and contributions were felicitated by Amity Family, respected and honoured by the audience. After the felicitation programme the event continued by honouring all the Women employees and the Girl students of Amity. It was rightly quoted and said by the Campus Head of AGBS, Mr. Manish Dholakia, that “we owe our existence to all the special Women in our life our Mother, Wife, or Daughter, the spirit of Women’s Day should be celebrated all the days of the year, not just on a single day.”
