Dr. Suman Khanna Aggarwal, Associate Professor of Philosophy, Delhi University delivers lecture on "A Global Experiment in Democracy: Political Legitimization of Non-violent Conflict Resolution.
A doctorate in Gandhian Philosophy, Dr. Suman Khanna Aggarwal said that why one should choose Non-Violence. Human nature is made of opposites hate & love and Violence & Non-Violence. Moment one chooses violence, he becomes animal. Mahatma Gandhi has said that Non-Violence is law of species. Dr. Aggarwal said that there are three demands which we should put to goverment for political legtimisation of non-violence:
1. Do not abandon the military establishment but have parallel non-violence defence training academy.
2. Legal option to be trained in non-violence defence academy.
3. Legal option to tax payer to divert the tax from military defence to non-violence defence
