Amity University Jharkhand organized "The 70th Anniversary of the Adoption of Constitution & Awareness of Fundamental Duties"

 

Amity University Jharkhand organized "The 70th Anniversary of the Adoption of Constitution & Awareness of Fundamental Duties" on 4th December, 2019. The yearlong nationwide activities on Constitution Day are being launched to mark the 70th anniversary of the adoption of the Indian Constitution by the Constituent Assembly, beginning November 26, 2019. The day 26th November is celebrated every year as Constitution Day (also known as ‘Samvidhan Divas’). These activities aim to reiterate and reorient the citizens towards the values and principles expressed in the Indian Constitution and encouraging all Indians to play their rightful role in strengthening the Indian Democracy.

On this occasion, the Vice-Chancellor Prof.(Dr) Raman Kumar Jha, Amity University Jharkhand addressed the gathering and talked about the importance and values of the Constitution for a democratic country like India and added on that we should follow all the rules and regulations.

Prof.(Dr)Ajit Kumar Pandey, Director Amity University Jharkhand addressed the gathering with his powerful words that Indian Preamble is so meaningful and important that the entire Indian Constitution is read as 'We the people of India’. He also read our Indian Preamble and also reminded the most important aspects of the Indian Constitution i.e First, our India Preamble, which is the soul of the Constitution. Second, Fundamental Rights which are enjoyed by every citizen of India. Third, about the Fundamental Duties.

Mr. Prabhakar Tripathi, Registrar Amity University Jharkhand addressed the gathering by saying that Fundamental duties start from the family, then the environment level and also at the organizational level for the betterment of duties by all the employees.
At the end of the program, the oath was taken to abide by the constitution and the frame of the Preamble was handed over to different faculty members of the University.
