Amity Institute of English Studies and Research of Amity University Jharkhand organized "Wings of Fire", A Creative Writing Competition, on the 7th of November 2019.  The event included short stories, poetry and slogan writing competitions. Students took great effort to make the event successful, out of more than 30 entries, a total of 13 students were selected for the final round.

The program was geared up by the felicitation of bouquet and memento to the guest of honor, Dr. Smriti Ranjan, Head, Department of Chemistry, Ranchi University. VC Amity University Jharkhand narrated a story highlighting the role of a teacher in students'life. Prof. Dr. Ajit Kumar Pandey recited his poem highlighting the miserable condition of the poor.

 Addressing the audience with her words of wisdom, Dr. Smriti Ranjan said, "Bring out your creative values in such different events and seminars. Give wings to your creativity, bring out your best, be bold and keep rising and shining".

Tannu Shree, B.A. English sem 3 bagged the first prize, Vishal Kashyap, B.A. English sem 5 got the second prize and Deepenty Sarkar received the third prize for poetry, Vishal Kashyap B.A. English,sem 5 bagged the first prize, Manpreet Kaur B.A. English sem 1 got the second prize and Farheen Naaz, B tech sem 1 received the third prize for short story, Anusha Kumari, B com sem 1 bagged the first prize, Maham Habib, B Tech CSE sem 1 got the second prize and Maham Imam, BA English Sem I  received the third  prize. Miss Ayushi Zina, assistant professor, Amity University Jharkhand gave the vote of thanks.
