They also observed some of the recently established water conservation infrastructure in the village. They addressed the villagers and explained how to keep water resources clean. They acquainted them with the technique of rain-water harvesting, bore-well recharge, watershed development, rejuvenation and maintenance of water bodies and tanks. They also emphasized on the importance of intensive afforestation and reuse of water for various secondary uses. In the discussion, protection of environment, harmful effects of use of plastics and minimal use of plastic were also stressed upon. The villagers acknowledged and pledged that they will use alternate modes like plates made up of leaves instead of plastic. In a separate programme, a team comprising of faculty and student volunteers targeted critical areas within Ranchi city for creating awareness, identifying problems and implementing possible initiatives to curb the use of plastics, with the help of Nukkad-Natak and flash-mob at Spring City Mall and the slum area of DibdihOverbridge, Ranchi.  This being done under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Raman Kumar Jha (Vice-Chancellor, Amity University Jharkhand), Prof. (Dr.)Ajit Kumar Pandey (Director, Amity University Jharkhand) and Mr.PrabhakarTripathi (Registrar) .
