Amity Ahmedabad - Orientation Program 2019
AGBS Ahmedabad organized a two days orientation program to induct the 2019 batch of MBA and BBA with Amity family’s philosophies, culture and value system and also to familiarize them with the academic system and rules and regulations of the Institute.
The Orientation commenced with the Registration process for the new entrants. As per the traditions of Amity, all students, parents, faculties, and staff participated in Havan to seek blessings from the God Almighty to mark the auspicious beginning of their professional journey.
All the students have enjoyed and appreciated lunch hosted by Amity family after havan. Seeking blessings from the respected Founder President Sir, Dr. Ashok K Chauhan: Respected President Sir, Dr. Atul Chauhan: Beloved Sr. VP, Shri Ramchandran, and AGBS Team, Dr. Prashant Saxena, Dean, AGBS Ahmedabad extended a warm and cordial welcome to all to Amity family and congratulated them on choosing Amity as their career destination-which is a perfect gateway to student’s success. Each staff member had personally welcome and blessed students. Dr. Preeti Bajaj, Asst. Director-Marketing, along with Ms. Monika Bawa, Asst. Director, Admissions from HQ, were welcomed. Their presence and gentle words of appreciation was a source of encouragement for everyone present in the session. Second part of the program initiated with motivational speech by renowned entrepreneur and educationalist Shri. Sanjay Chankaborty, he has enlightened students by explaining the power of dreams,
On Day two, In the morning session Ms. Shruti Jain, Academics Coordinator, along with Dr. Nilesh Pandya conducted the session on Amizone, to familiarize students with Attendance policy, Exam policy, grading policy and other academic policies of Amity. Ms. Dhara Shah, Admission officer, conducted a session on Study abroad program (SAP) to provide an opportunity to explore international learning experience.
Dr. Nilesh Pandya, our faculty member, discussed the Anti-ragging policy to create awareness on prevention and prohibition of ragging in the institution. Following this session, information on sports activities, Sangathan and other cultural activities were provided by Prof. Tejas Joshi, Dr. Nilesh Pandya and Prof Bansi Patel which created a lot of enthusiasm within students for the coming events. Further Alumni from the previous MBA & BBA batches have shared their experiences of learning and Life at AMITY. They have talked about how AMITY has added value in their career progression.
For splendid support to Amity and its students during SIP, ‘Great Mentor” awards were presented by Dr. Prashant Saxena and Prof. Tejas Joshi to Mr. Hemant Choksi, Director – Super Nova, Mr. Ripal Patel, Training & Satisfaction coach– Flipkart, Mr. Savan Goliyawala, Partner, Delloitte. The corporate guests were appreciated for their contribution towards our student’s development and felicitated.
The orientation program ended with a Vote of Thanks by Prof. Tejas Joshi.
