Hundreds of Prospective Students attend ‘Open House @ Amity University’

 The two day “Open House @ Amity University” concluded today at its Noida Campus, in which hundreds of admission aspirants along with their parents and guardians attended the programme to discuss the admission process and learn in detail about their preferred courses.  

It was an amazing opportunity for prospective students and their families to see what it means to be part of Amity family by interacting with faculty members, meeting with current students & alumni, witnessing the models and innovative works of students and taking a guided tour around the campus. 

Addressing the gathering, Dr.(Prof.) Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor, Amity University Uttar Pradesh apprised that Amity focuses on the holistic development of the students by nurturing them to be global professionals who are imbibed with values and sanskars coupled with industry required skill sets and competency. She stressed that due to disruptive technology, the industries are going under tremendous revolution and they seek for manpower with updated skills and training. Amity University understands the needs of industry and have framed the curriculum aligned with industry requirements. Dr Shukla remarked that Amity is pioneering in designing curriculum in sync with Education 4.0.

She informed that the purpose of the Open House is to familiarize the aspirants and their family with the course, faculty members, resources available and infrastructure. Furthermore, helping the students by guiding them towards the course of their interest through counselling and Psychometric test.

Major General Bhaskar Chakravarty, Director, Admissions presented an overview about Amity University and elaborated about the various departments, courses and facilities oferred. He gave a detailed overview about Education 4.0 which aligns the academic education with the needs and expectations of the industry. He apprised that Amity University has strong collaboration with almost major Universities of the world which makes its education of global standards.

During the interactive session, he responded to several queries raised by parents regarding new courses, career prospects in those courses and placement opportunities.

Students of Amity warmly welcomed the parents and aspirants to the exhibition set-up by researchers of Amity University in which 51 Start-up projects like Indigo Dream, Local Farming, Colognes, Engineering Mechanisms, Product Designs, Drones etc. were displayed. Amity School of Engineering and Technology (ASET) displayed various Engineering projects and designs like Reduction of Green House gases in Car Cabins, Drones navigated ambulance, Human detection in Snow etc. which can be implemented for general use of public. Amity School of Design (ASD) displayed various, paintings, designs models, projects and antiques which created an awareness in the field of design and architecture. Radio Amity 107.8 FM also set-up a dummy radio station for the entertainment of guests wherein aspirants showed great enthusiasm. A bioscope reminding ancient era of films was the attraction for all film making aspirants.

 

A visit of the aspirants was arranged to their preferred institutions offering the course of their choice where they were briefed about the Institution and the course curriculum. During the visit, Alumni’s of the respective institutes interacted with the aspirants and briefed them about their educational journey and success story. The Alumni’s shared how Amity, through teaching, seminars, conferences, industry interactions and other extracurricular activities, nurtured and motivated them towards performing the best in their careers. 

Sharing his experience, Aditya Pachuriya, who has applied for English (H) programme, said that he is elated to attend the Open House programme and has received lot of information not just about the course but has been counselled and guided for the career growth, thereafter.

 

Sidhharth Saurabh, brother of an admission aspirant appreciated the concept of Open House and commended the Psychometric test which helped his brother decide on which course to apply for, as per his interest and skill set.
