Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam Shri Tarun Gogoi visits Amity University Campus

Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam Shri Tarun Gogoi along with his delegation visited Amity University Campus, Noida. The visit was aimed to identify mutually beneficial partnership opportunities and capacity building in the development of Assam in the field of education.

Addressing the Amity Directors and Faculty Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Tarun Gogoi said, “Education is the biggest service to the individual, to the nation and to humanity in the whole world which aims towards success, achievement of goals and fulfillment of mission to lead a happy and contended life. The strong foundation is none other than good education. In today’s scenario specially referring to Assam, there is a need to inculcate students with best of creative and technical qualifications, along with indispensable human qualities. Such an atmosphere helps student to share knowledge between different fields of study and gives them a network of life long friends from various fields rather than just a one in which they are studying. There is a great need to introduce specialized courses such as Insurance, Psychology, Management, Communication, Law, Biotechnology, study of Medicinal Plants, Telecom, Behavioural Sciences and IT. The objective of his visit was to gain knowledge of the strengths and expertise of Amity and explore potential for stronger links between Assam and Amity which can be shared for best practice in vocational education and training”. He also called upon introducing several behavioural study courses for administrators so that they can learn the best practice of behavioural sciences.

Mr. Aseem Chauhan, Additional President, Ritnand Balved Education Foundation (RBEF) welcomed the delegation and commented, “This mission is arranged to explore the potential for partnerships and policy exchange programmes between Assam and Amity. The vision of Amity is to make India a leading country in terms of education, skills and workforce development”.

Dr. Ashok K Chauhan, Founder President, Ritnand Balved Education Foundation (RBEF) while giving an overview of Amity remarked, “The teaching methodology in Amity is contemporary which keeps the students and the staff abreast with the ever-changing scenario in the educational arena along with a fine blend of traditional Indian ethics and value systems. Tradition gives us ethics & values and modernity gives us opportunity to apply those values to move ahead and make our mark. The academic and cultural activities at Amity provides a platform where all students come together and explore the individual and group talents and resources”. Lauding the efforts of Shri Tarun Gogoi, Dr. Chauhan said that he has the ability to change the entire country, citing the example of National Games which were held last year in Guwahati.
