They should speak about their strengths and abilities so that employers can recognize their talent and hire them instantly.”

Speaking about the Scheme for Promotion of Academic and Research Collaboration(SPARC), he further added, “The main objective of SPARC is to promote institution to institution collaborations, improve the research eco system, enable productive academic collaboration in different focus areas, guide Indian institutions to get into foreign collaborations and improve domestic research to global standards & international rankings of Indian institutions.” Dr Varshney also highlighted international opportunities for Indian researchers and emphasized upon the three models of technology synergy, technology diplomacy and technology development, including bilateral cooperation, during his lecture.

Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder president, Amity Education Group, stated, “Amity, with a strong focus on research and innovation, has collaborated with many national and international organizations in the field of Science and Technology. If the scientists and researchers follow the guidance provided by Dr. S.K. Varshney, through his stimulating Guest Lecture, it will help them to connect with global scientists, thereby contributing to the scientific and economic development of the country.”

Speaking about Amity’s Bilateral Connect, Prof. A. Chakraborty, Deputy Director General, Amity Foundations for Science Technology and Innovation Alliance, said, “India has reached the 40th Position from 81 in the Global Innovation Index, in a short span of seven years and it is Amity’s aim and vision to see India at the 25th position in Global innovation Index, in the next 5 years. In this Knowledge Era, Amity University has emerged as a Research & Innovation driven University, by undertaking over 500 projects funded by leading government and non-government organisations and international funding agencies supported by major Science & Technology organizations at National and International level. The Guest lecture will certainly provide an opportunity to learn about Government of India’s endeavours on International Science & Technology partnership and will also help immensely in connecting Amity scientists with global players.”
