Amity University and Telangana University discuss the potential areas of collaboration

 

A high-level delegation from Telangana University led by Prof. D. Ravinder, Vice Chancellor, Telangana University, along with Dr. Shireesha Boyapati, Associate Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Telangana University, Dr. Mavurapu Satyanarayana, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Telangana University and Dr. Kavita Toran, Assistant Professor, Department of Geoinformatics, Telangana University, visited Amity University, with the aim to discuss the potential areas of academic and research collaboration.

 

Addressing the gathering, Prof. D. Ravinder, Vice Chancellor, Telangana University, averred, “Telangana University and Amity University both focus extensively on research and innovation, and it is their shared commitment to the nation, which brings them together on this platform to work together and explore the various areas of collaboration. Telangana University would be glad to welcome Amity scientists and researchers to its campus and work on collaborative research projects in Physics, Chemistry, Management, Engineering, Computer Science, Biotechnology, Biology and other similar domains. The state of Telangana would be highly privileged and honoured if Amity University opens its campus in the state, which will help in the scientific development of the country, thereby contributing to nation-building.”

 

Presenting the initiatives of Amity Research and Innovation, Dr. A Chakraborty, Deputy Director General, AFSTIA, stated, “Amity is strongly committed to the development of the country, through education and research. India has reached the 40th Position from 81 in the Global Innovation Index, in a short span of seven years and it is Amity’s aim and vision to see India at the 25th position in Global innovation Index, in the next 5 years. Amity University and Telangana University can collaborate in the areas of mutual usage of scientific instruments, joint collaborative research, exchange of research and faculty and joint PhD programmes, to enhance the development in the field of research and innovation.”

 

Welcoming the guests on this occasion, Dr. Gopal Bhushan, Deputy Director General, Amity Directorate of Science & Innovation, “Amity is extremely pleased to welcome the Vice Chancellor and Senior Faculty of Telangana University, to its campus and we look forward to a mutually beneficial collaboration.”

 

During the visit, the Senior Faculty members of Amity introduced themselves to the guests and the delegation took rounds of the high-tech research laboratories, Amity Innovation Incubator and Central Library of Amity.
