Guest Lecture on ACCA Programme Organized by Amity College of Commerce
On 7th November 2022, Amity College of Commerce, Amity University Haryana, organised a guest lecture on ACCA programme. The lecture was Mr. Shiv Swaroop Jha, HOD, ACC, AUH. The guest speakers were Mr. Vikas Khosla, the Zonal Head of ISDC, Mr. Abhishek Goyal and Mr. Siddhant Chandel. A total of 58 participants, including 1 faculty, were present in the workshop.
The lecture was convened from 12 p.m to 1 p.m. Amity University Gurugram recently worked with the International Skill Development Corporation (ISDC) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) to develop a Bcom Hons programme that was integrated with the ACCA UK. This collaboration paved the way for future collaboration in the fields of training and skill development, education, and global career in accounting and finance. Therefore, the program's purpose was to inform the students about ACCA as a professional degree in addition to their course of study and how ISDC functions as a useful platform for offering the required counselling and preparing students to join the ACCA.
The event began by an introductory speech by Mr. Vikas Khosla following which he gave the students useful information about the advantages of earning a professional degree, the ACCA course structure, job opportunities, and how ISDC can offer the required training for those opportunities. Additionally, a Question-and-Answer session was held, during which the speakers responded to all of the students' questions and inspired them to pursue the highly regarded professional degree. The session was summarised by Mr. Shiv Swaroop Jha, HOD, Amity College of Commerce, who also expressed gratitude to the speakers for giving of their time to educate the students.
