Amity University signs MoU with ELCOM Innovations Pvt. Ltd.

 

Amity University Uttar Pradesh signed an MoU with ELCOM Innovations Pvt. Ltd., an Indian group built by technocrats and professionals, offering complete repertoire of indigenously designed and developed products & technology platforms in the field of electronics and communication.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. S Laxminarayanan, IAS (retd.) Ex Home Secretary, Chairman ELCOM Group, averred, “ELCOM believes in nurturing long-term partnerships with recognized and reliable global partners to bring critical technologies for its valued customers, at a cost advantage, without compromising on quality. Science and technology is the future of India and it will be difficult to survive without making path-breaking advancement in this field. Also, India has stopped relying on China for technological products and services and is becoming self-reliant as per the vision of our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. This MoU between amity and ELCOM will be a long lasting, mutually beneficial collaboration, which will encourage research and innovation and provide access to the best technology.”

Speaking about the significance of the Signing of MoU Mr. Pradnyil Usgaonkar, Director and Member of The Board – Elcom Innovations Pvt. Ltd., said, “ELCOM is focused on Aerospace, Communication and Electronics particularly in avionics, tactical communication, homeland security and upgrades of Unmanned Ariel Vehicles (UAV) across Defence and Intelligence Forces and our R&D has been working on various aspects of this collaboration for the last four months. ELCOM’s collaboration with Amity is just the beginning of a long-lasting association through which both parties stand to benefit. Every MoU should be goal-oriented and therefore, new strategies need to be devised in order to achieve the best outcome out of this collaboration.”

Welcoming the guests on this occasion, Dr. M.K. Pandey, Joint Head, Amity School of Engineering & Technology, said, “Amity is delighted to partner with ELCOM Innovations Pvt. Ltd and this collaboration will be focussing on a few main areas- imparting and felicitating industrial training of 6 to 12 months to selected students of Amity University, providing employment opportunities for selected students post training at ELCOM, jointly develop design ideas on newer technologies in the field of electronics, defence communication and avionics, sharing of the tools and facilities available with both the parties for joint development and technology exploration and commercialization of the jointly developed technological innovations and products.”

The MoU Signing Ceremony concluded with the felicitation of guests and was attended by the researchers, head of institutions, faculty members and staff of Amity in large numbers.
