Amity School of Fashion Design and Technology, AUMP organizes a “Guest Lecture on Importance of Copyright in Fashion Industry” on 13th November 2021
As Ministry of Education Initiative has released the activities for the Institution's Innovation Council 4.0, Quater-1 under the categories like IIC Driven Activities & Self Driven Activities. The IIC initiative has been successfully taken forward by Amity School of Fashion Design and Technology, Amity University Madhya Pradesh by organizing a guest lecture on the ‘Importance of Copyright in Fashion Industry’. The workshop started with the welcoming of our guest Mr. Sandeep Ranjan, Asst. Professor, Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Industry Specialist, Content Creator and Founder of High Street Clothing a Raymond authorized brand for custom clothing on 13th November 2021. The session was coordinated by Ms Twinkle Rastogi, Faculty, Amity school of Fashion Design & Technology.
Mr. Sandeep Ranjan has started with the introduction of copyright with respect to artistic works related to music, dance, drama, paintings, design etc. He explained that Copyright law protects the designs on the surface of clothing just as it protects designs on the surface of a canvas or sheet of paper.
The session made a high level of interest as they shared their work as an example for copyright. Students have enthusiastically participated in the lecture and interacted as well. The lecture was attended by almost 155 students from Amity University and other Universities. The lecture ended on a very great note with an acknowledgement provided by the Head of the Institution, Mrs. Anshu Singh Choudhary, Amity School of Fashion Design and Technology Department, Amity University Madhya Pradesh.
