Amity University Madhya Pradesh organizes Sangathan 2021
The mega sports event, Sangathan, was organized at Amity University, Madhya Pradesh from Oct 07 to Oct 23, 2021. The event began with the lighting of the ceremonial Mashaal on Day 01. In the days that followed, students, faculty and staff members participated and competed in a number of sports events, showcasing their best talent and skills in the sporting arena.
Sangathan 2021 culminated on 23 Oct in which the Sports Officer presented the Sangathan Report. The audience was informed that this year 11 sporting events such as Cricket, Chess, Carrom, Table Tennis etc. were held. A total of 288 boys and girls of the University participated enthusiastically in the various events.
The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor also addressed the students on the occasion. He informed the audience that Sangathan is held each year to celebrate the Founder’s Day and to mark the birthday of Dr. Ashok K Chauhan, the beloved Founder President, of Amity Universe. He emphasized that sports is an integral part of student’s life. The students should pursue sports as a hobby and passion and stay fit. He further stressed that participation is more important than winning or losing. Finally, he concluded his address by pointing out that sports are a great way to beat stress and that psychological and physical needs of the youth are well served by participating in sports and games.
The Closing Ceremony ended with the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Lt. Gen. V.K. Sharma, AVSM (Retd.) and Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr) M P Kaushik and other dignitaries giving away the Gold, Bronze and Silver Medals to the students and faculty members. In total, 62 medals were bagged by participants while ASET received the Rolling Trophy for Best All Round Performance at Sangathan 21.
