Webinar on Career in Defense after engineering
Defense Research Development Organization (DRDO) in collaboration with AICTE and Amity University Gurugram introduced M.Tech in Defense Technologies.
The M.Tech in defence technology has been designed to produce Postgraduates who will have the necessary theoretical & experimental knowledge, skill and aptitude in various defence technologies areas and pursue them to carry out R&D in defense.
Amity University Gurugram hosted a webinar on Career in Defense after Engineering. Mr. Sachin Juneja, Director – Market Promotions moderated the session and introduce amity newly launched program M.Tech in Defense technology with participants and Invite Maj Gen G.S. Bal, Dean of Student Welfare to share his words of wisdom and vast experience of Armed forces with participants.
Maj Gen G.S. Bal, Dean of Student Welfare started his talk with brief introduction Amity University Haryana which is a NAAC “A” graded University with 110-acre lush green campus with LEED Platinum Certification which is 2nd in Asia.
He explained in detail about varous specializations available in defense technologies which are Combat engineering, Naval Engineering, Aerospace Technology, Directed Energy Technologies etc.. and highlighted the requirements of defense sectors, various Career Opportunities after doing defense technology course, fee structure to the students. He emphasized the importance being a unique program to foster interdisciplinary education and research-Courses aligned to the current and future needs of defense industry made available to students in collaboration with DRDO and AICTE.
Strong Defense Industry Academia Partnership, High employability opportunities in fast expanding Defense Research and Manufacturing sector (DRDO, DPSUs, Private Defense Industries & Ordinance Factories), He specified.
Dr. Shalini Bhaskar Bajaj, Director , Amity School of Engineering and Technologies explained about the course structure of M.Tech in Defense Technologies and answers various question asked by the students like how to apply for MTech in Defense technologies.
Finally, the session was ended with Q and A session. A vote of thanks was given by Mr. Sachin Juneja, Director Market Promotions with an announcement about 50% Inaugural batch scholarship for the students.
