 Under New Education Policy 2020 and Language, Amity University Jharkhand Organised a webinar on “HindiDiwas” on 14th September 2020. “Hindi is the soul of Indian Culture”.

The chief guest of the program was Dr.Pankaj Mittal, General Secretary, Association of Indian Universities and guests were Dr. Raman Kumar Jha, Vice-Chancellor, Amity University Jharkhand, Dr.SavitaSengar, Vice-Chancellor, Jharkhand Rai University, Dr.Ajit Kumar Pandey, Director, Amity University Jharkhand, Dr. Vijay Kumar Singh, Registrar, Sarala Birla University, Ranchi and Dr. Jang BhadurPandey, Former Head of Hindi Department, Ranchi University,
Dr.Pankaj Mittal addressed the attendees by focusing on the sense of nationalism in the New Education Policy.
Dr. Raman Kumar Jha, Vice-Chancellor, Amity University Jharkhand highlighted the impact of the New Education Policy on Higher Education, he said that the New Education Policy is divided into three fundamental parts. Firstly, at the individual level; secondly, the social level and thirdly, the national level. He also defined the education policy which can be mentioned as follows E: Etiquette, D- Discipline, U- Universal Brotherhood, C- Creativity, A- Awareness, T- Transformation, I - integrity, O- Optimist, N- Nobility.
Dr.Savita Sengar focused on the importance of the Hindi language. She mentioned that ‘India's biggest contribution is the Hindi language'. She also said that one should promote and also speak and respect their mother language. She also called for the implementations of Hindi- related policies taken by the Government.
Dr. Vijay Kumar Singh gave a brief introduction on the main topics of the webinar,' A sense of nationalism in the New Education Policy; Impact of New Education Policy on Higher Education and the Contribution of Hindi Language.
Dr. Jung BhadurPandey focused on the contribution of the Hindi language and also mentioned that the Hindi language is slow, but it is still growing and if one desired to promote Hindi as a language, one has to take it to the people in its practical shape.
At the end of the program, Prof. DrAjit Kumar Pandey, Director, Amity University Jharkhand, discussed the importance of Hindi which originated from Sanskrit and became the national language of India. While talking about new education policy, he stressed upon SIKSHA which originated from Rig Veda the oldest book in Anglo Indian linguistic world, and talked about two RICHAS one indicative of the voice of goddess Saraswati(voice of the goddess of knowledge) and the second RICHA translates into the development and progress of thoughts. And both of these two are seen nicely embodied in the new education policy. He also extended gratitude to all the academicians for sharing their valuable thoughts.
