Amity University Jharkhand organized a webinar on the topic, "How's banning of 59 Chinese Apps going to be beneficial for Cybersecurity of India" in collaboration with the Press India Bureau, Ranchi, Government of India on 16th July 2020.
The Guest Speakers of the session were Mr. Arimardan Singh, ADG, PIB, Ranchi, Prof. Dr. Raman Kumar Jha, Vice-Chancellor, Amity University Jharkhand, Mr. Rajiv Lochan Bakshi, Director - IPRD, Government of Jharkhand and Prof. Dr. Ajit Kumar Pandey, Director, Amity University Jharkhand.
Mr. Arimardan Singh addressed the attendees by talking on how the banning of 59 Chinese apps has maintained the sovereignty and security of India. He said that the Government of India has taken a very right and bold decision as this will safeguard the privacy of crores of mobile and internet users in India.
Prof. Dr. Raman Kumar Jha, Vice-Chancellor, Amity University Jharkhand, highlighted how the banning of the Chinese Apps is going to impact the students and academicians. He mentioned that it is a good opportunity for IT students to develop Indian Apps of the same compatibility and earn name and money. He added that we have several better ways of educating the students if we get into the technique of online teaching. He said that educational institutions and students may collaborate with IT industries and develop advanced apps to set new examples in the field of digitalization of not only education but in all the fields. He also added that it would gradually increase the entrepreneurship.
Prof. Dr. Ajit Kumar Pandey focused on the diplomatic impact on banning these Chinese apps and on the regulation and compliance factors. He said that Indians should think and work in the right direction to make up the void, they may develop substitute apps to impart knowledge, information, and to communicate.
The session was quite informative as it dealt with all the topics related to the subject. The program ended with a vote of thanks.
