SAYONARA 2020 (An online farewell)
Due to the immediate and urgent effect of the lockdown, in colleges, many activities and exams scheduled for the academic year 2019-20 were cancelled. While the students are spending the days at home, the teachers and students of Amity university Jaipur are constantly planning, creating and curating an array of activities for their final year students.
One of the activities conceived by the college was the SAYONARA an online farewell of class 2020. The students loved the idea of an online farewell.
The college organised this digital fiesta on July 11th via a zoom meeting and Facebook live.
Sayonara 2020, started with the Approval from. Dean Students Welfare and Campus Life on 8th June 2020. A management team was formed, which helped us in arranging bytes of students and their photos for the farewell.
The whole session was divided into three diff sessions
10:00am to 12:30pm
1:30 pm to 2:30 pm
4:30pm to 6:00pm
The programme commenced with the address by the Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Prof Dr Amit Jain, where he spoke encouraging words of wisdom for the final year students.
All HOI's, teachers and the students joined the online zoom meeting and Facebook live.
It was overwhelming to see everybody together during these gloomy times. Students poured out their hearts and thanked teachers for taking them through the wonderful primary years. It was heart-warming for the teachers to see their class again.
A video presentation by the college made everyone mushy. It reminded them of their yesteryears and home away from home. Different Titles were also awarded to different students,
Summing up, the online farewell sayonara 2020 was great, filled with nostalgia and fun and excitement!
