Amity University Mumbai Hosted NASA India, 62nd Zonal Council Meet - Zone 2

The 62nd Zonal Council Meet (ZCM) - Zone 2 of the National Association of Students of Architecture (NASA) India, was hosted by Amity School of Architecture and Planning, Amity University Mumbai on Thursday 30th and Friday 31st May 2019.

The meeting commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp ceremony which took place at 10.30 am and was performed by the chief guest Dr. P. Sali, Director, Academics, RBEF. Dr Sali was accompanied by: Prof. Abhijit Shirodkar, Director, ASAP, AUM; Ar. Sushant Jaganade, Faculty Coordinator, NASA India, ASAP, AUM Unit; J.P.K. Vinod, National Advisor, NASA India; Ashwith K., National Treasurer, NASA India; Parshva Shah, Zonal President, Zone 2, NASA India.

At the outset the Zonal President, Zone 2, Parshva Shah, read out the agenda for the 62nd ZCM. This was followed by detailed discussions regarding the events to be held and the activities to be carried out in the future. The problems from the previous years were brought up and probable solutions were deliberated upon. The sessions were made more interactive by the Unit Secretaries of each college coming up with their opinions and suggestions, in order to improve the organization. The Unit Secretaries and Unit Designees also got their difficulties and doubts clarified.

The two day meeting concluded with a zero hour, where all the delegates present, spoke about the forthcoming year.

Along with ASAP, AUM (Z247), 38 Colleges represented by 68 delegates participated in the ZCM. The entire show, right from the registration to the allotment of accommodation to the conduct of the meeting and the travel arrangements of the delegates was managed entirely by the students themselves. The ASAP faculty and the NASA India, ASAP, AUM Unit faculty coordinator was always there to help them whenever required. Overall it was a well managed affair that was appreciated by all attendees. It was definitely a great managerial experience for the students.
