International Guest Lecture on ‘BREXIT, EU and India: Changing Economics and Political Cantons"

January, 2019.  The event commenced with the welcome address given by Dr. Nagalaxmi M Raman , HoI AIIS. The lecture was attended by the students of B.A. (Hons.) IR, M.A. (IR)  and Research Scholars  of Amity Institute of International Studies.

Dr. Malgorzata Bonikowska gave a lecture explaining the impact of Britain exit from the European Union and United Kingdom. European Union would have Brexit as a great example for the countries who are considering their exits from the union, if it does not work out for UK. Most probably, BREXIT is likely to have crumbling effect for the economy of UK.  Also this was explained in the dawn of voting for Brexit in UK in the coming weeks and this phenomena might result in removal of Theresa Mary  as the prime minister of UK. Also, there are possibilities of the Irish demanding Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland to be united as Brexit would put a barrier on the free movements of people and trade between the two parts of the Irish Island.

The lecture was quite enriching as she shared about the nitty-gritties of BREXIT and its probable implications.
