 Amity University Patna, Department of School of Communication, organized a Guest Lecture on ‘Rural Journalism’ by Mr. Jai Shankar Bihari, Deputy Chief Reporter, Dainik Jagran, Patna, Bihar.

Mr. Jai Shankar Bihari is the Deputy Chief Reporter at Dainik Jagran, Patna, Bihar since March 2016. Earlier, in the year 2006, he joined Metro Reporter in Punjab Kesari, Delhi. He worked as News Editor in BihariKhabar. Later, he joined as Bureau Chief in Hindustan, Sasaram, and also worked in Hindustan Gaya and Patna office till 2016.
He is a guest faculty at Patna University and College of Commerce, Arts & Science. He has also worked with WHO and UNICEF in various projects.

He taught students about the" Rural Journalism-The collection, writing, editing, and presenting of news and articles related to rural areas in newspapers and magazines and in radio and television broadcasts and focused on locally-oriented, professional news coverage that typically focuses on city neighborhoods, individual suburbs or small towns, rather than metropolitan, state, national or world news
