The Data Communication and Networking Lab is established with a specific purpose of inculcating practical knowledge of principles of networking and computer communications to students. The complete study of network systems is, as such, a vast subject. Understanding how the entire system works seamlessly in the network is always a thrilling experience for students. Simulation software for network design in this lab includes Cisco Packet tracer 5.3, GNS3 and NS2. Also, supporting software for hardware devices (Firewall, Routers, Wireless Access Points, switches etc.) includes Wire Shark gvim editor, Ekahau Heatmapper and Netstumbler.
