School Principal Arti Chopra, Microsoft Educator Expert had the privilege of being selected and win Learning Challenge Award. She was assigned the ‘Delocalize’ group in which she worked in collaboration with 5 educator experts of the country. She created an innovative project ‘#Help@24X7@EduBuddies’- a real time web based communication platform for Grade X & XII Board Examinees to de-stress and help students to overcome exam fear. The project was showcased at the Annual MIE Expert and Showcase School Leaders Summit 2017.

The school made Guinness World Record for forming Largest Human Image of an Organ (Lungs), an event organised by Lung Care Foundation.

Dhruv Bhargava of Class IV won the first prize at the prestigious Inter Space Debate Competition (ISDC) 2017 organised by SPACE. The competition saw over 60 schools from Delhi/NCR take part and speak for and against the topic ‘Robots instead of men for space missions’.

13th Global Harmony Awards-2017

Aniruddh Sriram & Ribhul Raghuwal (Class XI) and Shivang Duseja (Class X) won first prize in the Trio Tabla Duet (senior’s category) at the 13th Global Harmony- 2017 awards organised by Akhil Bhartiya Sanskrutik Sangh. In the Tabla solo competition, Shivanj Duseja secured third prize (senior category) and Atharava Arya of Class VIII, won Chairman Consolation award (junior’s category). The winners have been invited to perform in 7th Cultural Olympiads of Performing Arts at Valladolid, Spain from November 21-26, 2017.

7th Annual Pramerica Spirit of Community Awards

Under the able guidance of Dr (Mrs) Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity Group of Schools and RBEF who has always encouraged children to undertake different social initiatives, Gursimran Singh, Class, won a Gold medal at the 7th Annual Pramerica Spirit of Community Awards in the individual category for having built ‘EyeScribe’, an assistive device to help the visually impaired experience the joy of reading. The school also won a Bronze medal for their community services done under their initiative ‘MustQuito’ conducted by their schools Youth Power team in the Group category to create awareness on how to combat mosquitoes. Gursimran was awarded a cash reward of Rs 50,000, and a return trip to Washington, D.C. in May 2017 where he will represent India in the global felicitation ceremony.

Brainfeed Award

AIS Gur 46 was shortlisted among top 500 schools of the country and was conferred with the prestigious School Excellence Awards 2017. School Principal Arti Chopra was felicitated by Brainfeed, a prestigious magazine, at a special award ceremony on February 4, 2017. The award was based on a survey conducted by Brainfeed magazine on Academic Excellence, Innovative Practices, Co-curricular activities, infrastructure, Project based learning, STEM education, ICT implementation, most influential school, emergent school and happiness quotient for the year 2016-2017. The award was an acknowledgement of the ICT implementation which has been included as an intrinsic part of the school curriculum.

The school team participated in the Dorling Kindersley (DK) Quiz conducted in the school campus for the students of Class VII to IX. Over 144 students from school participated in the quiz, out of which 12 students got shortlisted for the final round and won books as a reward along with a certificate of merit. The school champion team represented the school at the Inter- school grand finale held on October 12, 2017.
