On the 29th June 2006 Mr. Ashish Gulati held a workshop on ‘The Art of Loving Maths’. Mr. Ashish Gulati had some innovative ideas on making maths enjoyable and stress free for the children. He believed that Maths was required for the future well being of out nation. Therefore, all efforts should be made by teachers to develop love for Maths.

He recommended that teachers should encourage children with positive compliments, hold their interest through funny ways of learning, maintain their interest by linking Maths to their future returns and project that it is connected to their progress in life.

    A teacher Training workshop was conducted on the 30th of June and the 1st of July 2006 at the AIS Pushp Vihar campus by Dr. Abha Singh and other Faculty Members of Amity Institute of Behavioral Sciences. The workshop dealt with Enhancing Personal and Professional Effectiveness of teachers.

The teachers were given exhaustive lessons on realization of ‘The power within’ and also as self awareness, self esteem emotional intelligence perspective on student motivation and varied learning styles. It also touched upon the importance of communication, listening skills, interpersonal skills, verbal and non-verbal communication and many other topics related ato effective teaching and communication.

It was perfect beginning to the new academic session.

    The 2nd International Conference on ‘Digital Libraries (ICDL 2006)’ was conducted at India Habitat Center, New Delhi from 5th to 8th December’ 2006 with the welcome address by Dr. R. K. Pachori, Director General Teri. Miss Nitu Chakrobarty attended the workshop.

    Workshop on “Adolescence Education Programme” was conducted from 15th January 2007 to 19th January 2007 at AIS, Saket. The main aim of this workshop was to create master trainers who will further train the teachers of various schools. The main stress was on LIFE SKILL development in adolescents.
