Journalist workshop

The act of putting pen to paper encourages pause for thought, this in turn makes us think more deeply about life which helps us regain our equilibriums’. Recognizing the need of ignity the creative spark in Amitians, Amity International School, Pushp Vihar organized ‘A Meeting a Journalist workshop on 18th April 2011, with the guest of honour been MS Karin Wenger correspondent of South Asia.

She is versatile and experience journalist and she has currently collected stories from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bhutan and India, which she share with the editorial group of Amitians. She shared all her experiences that she had had while travelling around the Globe.

She experienced political unrest in places like Libyan, during the Libanon war in 2006 and the tragedies hovered the place. She has faced many difficulties and challenges in her path but she never let anything deter her from achieving her goal. The students also had a question – hour session where well aware students asked many enthusiastic questions . After that never ending torrent questions, Ms Wenger also demonstrated them how to host Radio Show. She encouraged the students from different schools of Amity to participate and host their own show.

On the whole it was an exciting and enriching workshop. The workshop ended with vote of thanks by Ms Vira Sharma. This workshop catered Amitians with different aspects of Journalism which would help them to develop holistically.
