CBSE Regional Level Science Exhibition
Date: December 15-17, 2016
Two teams from the school participated in the Regional Level CBSE Science
Exhibition. Team 1 comprising Utkarsh Jain and Karish Grover presented their project on
'Formulated Road Safety Program' while Team 2 comprising Tanmay Pharlia and Nitish Gupta
presented their project on 'Electrogenesis- A Future Electricity Generation'.

Citation Ceremony
Date: February 8, 2017
The schools outgoing batch were presented with a citation highlighting
their talents and achievements at a special function. The outgoing students shared their
memorable journey at the school, relived the nostalgic moments and expressed gratitude
towards the teachers and staff. The ceremony concluded with showers of blessings by heads
of the institution and teachers.

Atal Tinquering Lab
The school was selected from amongst 6000 applications who applied for
setting up of (ATL) Atal Tinkering Labs in schools by Niti Aayog that aims to 'Cultivate
one Million children in India as Neoteric Innovators'. The schools successfully qualified
by participating in the ATL Innovative Challenge. Team Vasundhara 6 comprising Utkarsh
Jain, Karish Grover and Manan Rai designed a project titled 'ARVI' (Autonomous Robot for
Visually Impaired' which would help blind people to cross the road.

Investiture Ceremony

The young talent of school was bestowed with honorary badges and sashes.
The ceremony commenced with handing over the flags to the newly elected members of the
Student's Council. They took oath as the new office bearers and pledged to dispense their
duties with best of their abilities. Newly elected Head Boy Kabir Arora and Head Girl
Tanisha Chauhan promised to take the school to newer heights.

IRIS National Science Fair 2016
Date: December 21-23, 2016
Manan Rai of Class XII won the Grand Award at Intel IRIS National Science
Fair 2016, held at Indian Institute of Science and Engineering Research (IISER), Pune. He
also won a Special Certificate from the American Psychological Association. His project has
been selected amongst the top 20 projects to represent India in the Intel International
Science and Engineering Fair (IISEF) 2017 in Los Angeles, USA.

Best Innovation Award at NPSC 2016
Date: December 21, 2016
Nandini Sharma and Kabir Arora of Class XI won the Best Innovation Award
and a cash prize of Rs 30, 000 at Shakti project with the theme- 'Mitigating Air Pollution'
in Delhi, organised by the UN Information Centre, NPSC, Sonalika Social Development Society
and Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation.

Storytelling Session for Class I
Date: November 25, 2016
The school organised a storytelling session for Class I students in
association with Bookaroo festival. Storyteller & children's author Tanya Batt and musician
Peter Forster presented a storytelling session to the children with different expressions
and interesting story line which was enjoyed by the children.

Spic Macay 2016

The school organised Spic Macay performance of eminent dhrupad vocalist
Pandit Sanjay Kumar Mallick, accompanied by Mr Rauf Mohammad on Sarangi, Mr Subhashish
Pathak on Pakhwaj, Mr Shah Alam on Harmonium, and Ms Snehil Mallick on Tanpura. Their
soulful rendition of verses in Dhrupada raga was applauded by all.

Founder's Day Celebrations

The schools Founder's Day celebrations were graced by Dr (Mrs) Amita
Chauhan, Chairperson Amity Group of Schools & RBEF and all eminent people from the Amity
family. A lot of fun filled activities conducted during the 'Gratitude Week' prior to the
celebrations, were showcased in a vivid and dynamic way. A 'Kawwali' performance followed
by a heartwarming video 'Shat Shat Naman' for Founder President was presented on the
occasion. The day culminated with giving away awards, scholarships and Founder's Day
trophies to over 500 young achievers.

Bournvita Quiz Contest
Date: November 18, 2016
Team AIS PV represented by Divyansh Jain of Class VII B and Anvi Mahajan
of Class VIII B were declared winners of Bournvita Quiz Contest City Final. Five teams
comprising 2 students each from Classes VII and VIII participated in this round held on
November 18, 2016. The team members bagged medals and a trophy. The team also qualified for
All India Finals to be held in January- February 2017.

Book Cosmos
Date: November 15, 2016
To inculcate good reading habits in students, the school organised Book
Cosmos wherein students from Classes KG to V depicted stories from selected books of
distinguished authors like Asha Nehemiah, Vinita Krishna, Sandhya Rao, Devdutt Patnaik,
R K Narayan, etc. All the classes organised beautifully designed stalls with various
craft activities and interesting games for the children. Delicious lunch and ice creams
were relished by the students, along with a story book taken as a gift for the lovely
day.

Vision Building Programme
Date: November 10, 2016
A vision Building Program was organised in the school under the aegis of
ACCGC wherein Ms Rashi Koul, Associate Professor, Mechanical Engineering and Ms. Gayatri
Sharma, Marketing Department, Amity University, Haryana were invited to address the students
of Class XII on various career opportunities in the field of innovative thinking and ideation
that aimed to inspire brilliant young minds to get motivated to lead in the future.

Youth Power
Date: November 10, 2016
A panel discussion on "Stop the usage of Plastic" was conducted by the
Youth Power team in the school premises. The discussion was graced by the presence of Mohd.
Azharuddin, former Indian Cricket Captain and Parliamentarian. The informative discussion
helped students understand that the menace of plastic and the need to develop
alternatives.

students with Indian heritage and values The children of the primary section presented

Felicitation Ceremony of Sports Stars

A felicitation ceremony was organised in Amity University, Noida on
October 22, 2016 to laud the efforts of achievers in various sports competitions held
at national and international level. Dr (Mrs) Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity Group

Anubhav Series: Talk on severity of burn and cracker injuries

The school organised a talk by Doctor Sameer Bhattacharya, Head of Unit and Department at PIGMER
Hospital, for the students of Class VIII to XI. The talk was a part of Anubhav Series, an initiative by Dr (Mrs)
Amita Chauhan, Chairperson Amity Group of Schools and RBEF where experts from different fields are invited to
enlighten the children on areas of their expertise.

PRATIBIMB - JUNIOR ANNUAL DAY
Amidst great zest, vibrancy and elation, PRATIBIMB - The Junior Annual Day was organized in the school premises of Amity International School, Pushp Vihar on 29th September 2016.
The event was graced with the charismatic presence of our pillar of strength, Dr (Mrs)Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity Group of Schools. Among other dignitaries present were the distinguished members of the Amity Family and the Cambodian Ambassador.

Hon'ble Founder President, Dr Ashok K Chauhan was the esteemed chief guest of the momentous occasion. On the occasion, special awards instituted by Dr Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President, Amity Universe and Dr (Mrs) Amita Chauhan were given away to students with exemplary accomplishments in academics, sports and human values.
The cultural fiesta unfolded with a wide array of performances after the ceremonial lighting of the lamp amidst chanting of shlokas. In tandem with the spirit of Amity, the theme 'PRATIBIMB' showcased value based stories based on vital lessons of life to be imbibed by the students. The popular value based stories depicted were Idgah by Munshi Premchand, Kahani Mantra by Munshi Premchand, Three Questions by Leo Tolstoy, Swami and Friends by R.K.Narayan that aimed at developing school ethos that both raises achievement and encourages students to be self-disciplined and develop holistically.
