Janmashtami celebration
Date:August 24, 2016
The school celebrated Janmashtami by conducting a special assembly in the
school premises. The assembly began with the recitation of shlokas and
poetry in Hindi on 'Bal roop of Lord Krishna' followed by enactment and
narration of the story of the birth of Lord Krishna. The students of Class
I energetically enacted the scenes with pomp and gaiety. Little girls and
boys dressed up as Gopi and Radha, performed raas leela on different songs.
The assembly culminated with a message- Janmashtami is a festival that
encourages goodwill and togetherness.

NUTURING LEADERSHIP PROGRAMME

Under the pioneering vision of our Chairperson Dr. Amita Chauhan Amity Pushp Vihar
has been part of the “Nurturing Leadership Program”. This program has
been initiated with support from AERC. Under the program two girls Michaela Hruskova
from Rajec and Kristina Lasticova from Rudina in Slovakia visited Amity Pushp Vihar
from 7th October 2015- 18th November 2015. The main aim of the programme was to
foster Inter cultural ties and give students an exposure to Indian culture. They
learnt Yoga, Indian art and craft.They also learnt Hindi during their stay in India.
The girls lived with Indian host families and got an in depth knowledge about Indian
traditions and Family Values.
The two girls developed such deep bonds that they felt that they were more Indian
than Slovak.
"Thank you Amity for making us feel at home. Thank you Chairperson Ma'am for
giving us the opportunity."

SENIOR ANNUAL DAY

Amity International School, Pushp Vihar celebrated its senior annual day
on 1 December, 2015 with pomp and show. In tandem with the Amity spirit, the
theme for this year’s annual day was Enlightenment – the Guru Shishya
Parampara. The occasion was graced by the presence of the Chairperson, Amity schools,
Dr. ( Mrs.) Amita Chauhan and other distinguished guests. The Chief Guest of the
evening was Gen. J.J.Singh, PVSM, AVSM, VSM ( retd.) ex Chief of the Army Staff
and former governor of Arunachal Pradesh.
After the traditional welcome of the guests, the function commenced with the lighting
of the revered lamp of knowledge. The school choir and orchestra regaled the audience
with their confluence of Indian and Western music. The dynamic Principal Ms. Ameeta
Mohan presented the annual report of the school. Special awards instituted by Founder
President Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan and Chairperson Dr. Amita Chuhan were given to students
for their accomplishments in academics, sports and human values. The school also
felicitated the achievements of the budding sports persons at Amity. Students have
won at the National and International Levels in Aerobics, Chess, Shooting.
The theme of this year's Annual Day was GURU SHISHYA PARAMPARA. Aptly titled as
Enlightenment, it highlighted the life and teachings of stellar gurus like Dronacharya,
Buddha, Chanakya, Vivekananda, Dayanand Saraswati and Rabindranath Tagore.
The Grand Finale was a magnificent display of youthful energy and exuberance showing
the extent of power that todays younger generation can aspire to, under the able
guidance of their guru. The function concluded with a soul stirring speech by venerable
Chairperson Dr. ( Mrs.) Amita Chauhan who lauded the efforts of the students and
teachers of Amity, Pushp Vihar on making their annual day a grand success.
