Founder’s Day Celebration (BOOK COSMOS)

Our Founder President Sir, Dr.Ashok K.Chauhan, has the vision of making the Amitians an optimum blend of Excellence: in Academics, in Person and in Human Values. To express the gratitude towards respected founder Sir for his generous efforts for nurturing their talent, the valiant students of classes KG, I and II of Amity International School Pushp Vihar came up with a distinguished theme of an educational Book Cosmos within the school premises on the auspicious occasion of Founder’s Day Celebration on 09th November 2012. The prestigious Guest of Honour-Chairperson Ma’am Dr.Amita Chauhan graced the event with her cordial presence.She went to each Stall and interacted with the children. She was accompanied by Mrs.Pooja Chauhan, Mrs.Divya Chauhan and Mrs.Jayshree Chauhan.
The Book Cosmos or the Book Universe had various beautifully designed stalls for each class which were shining as bright as stars themselves. The students took pride in making exceptionally awestrucking crafts according to their Themes, namely-
- KG : Fairy Tales
- I : Mythology
- II : Panchatantra
Besides this, a Story Telling Session was organized by the plausible presenters from Wide Aisled Productions Theatre Group which was followed by the delicious lunch arranged by the school for the students.
The students undertook several craft activities at the stalls like Envelope Puppet making, Comic Strips, Madhubani Paintings etc. They chanted slogans in their mesmerizing voice and presented the guests of honour with some miniatures from their creation as a token of Love and Respect.
Towards the end, each child was presented with a set of two story books to inculcate the habit of healthy reading among them.

VASUDHA

Keeping with the vision of our respected Chairperson Ma’am, Dr.Amita Chauhan to inculcate a scientific temper among all Amitians,Vasudha-2012 was organized for classes KG to V in the portals of Amity International School, Pushp Vihar on the 21st of July,2012.
The children experienced the thrill of exploring and experimenting new things. They participated in a plethora of activities ranging from making craft work, models and project work.
How does a solar cooker work?
What is the mechanism of the working of a wind hovercraft?
How can lemon produce electricity?
How does a balloon move a rocket?
These were a few questions which the young researchers explored.
Dr.Amita Chauhan ,Chairperson ,Amity Schools blessed the children with her benign presence and congratulated the students for their efforts. The children were indeed honoured by the presence of our respected Pooja Chauhan Ma’am, Chairperson Amity Humanity Foundation and Divya Chauhan Ma’am ,Chairperson Amity School Of Fine Arts who also applauded the children for their excellent presentation .
Vaudha,2012 was truly an endeavour for enhancing scientific learning through hands on experience which showcased the imagination and creativity of the children under the able guidance of the school principal, Mrs. Ameeta Mohan.

HONOURS THE ACHIEVERS OF 2011-2012

Amity International School, Pushp Vihar held its Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony on 1st May, 2012 and 2nd May, 2012 to acknowledge and encourage the young achievers of 2011-2012. Students who excelled in academics, sports and other co-curricular activities were awarded and were also inspired by the stories and anecdotes of Ms. Leila Seth who was the honoured Chief Guest for both the days. The school Principal Mrs. Ameeta Mohan thanked the Chief Guest for her thoughtful insights and further prodded the students to reach greater heights in their lives. The ceremony was also graced by the revered Chairperson of Amity Group of Schools, Dr. Mrs. Amita Chauhan who blessed the students and motivated them to strive for excellence in body, mind and spirit.

INVESTITURE CEREMONY

On February 6, 2012, Amity Pushp Vihar conducted its Investiture Ceremony in the school premises. The occasion was graced by the presence of our loving Chairperson Ma’am, Dr. Mrs. Amita Chauhan .
The student council was selected after a rigorous selection process. Forms were filled and interviews conducted under the purview of an elaborate committee comprising of Chairperson Ma’am; Col. Ahluwalia, Senior sports Advisor Amity Schools; Mrs. Mohina Dar, Senior Consultant Amity Schools, our respected Principal ma’am Mrs. Ameeta Mohan along with Vice principal ma’am, Mrs. Divya Bhatia and all the senior teachers. Attributes like leadership, communication skills, academic performance, co- curricular activities and a balance between the aforesaid were carefully evaluated.
This procedure culminated into the investiture ceremony. The lighting of the lamp, accompanied by a divine choir performance marked its inception. The newly elected student council proudly marched onto the stage and was duly solemnized with the coveted badges and sashes. The council pledged to fulfill their responsibility towards the post and the school with utmost sincerity and efficiency. This was followed by a brief speech of the Head boy and the Head girl.
Chairperson Ma’am proposed the vote of thanks and congratulated the newly formed council and reminded them of the higher ideals and expectations that are associated with their post. She also reiterated the fact that being a council member is all about ‘Action’ and not just a ‘position’. The event concluded ceremoniously with the school anthem and the national anthem.
