The strategic construction of Asia Pacific has gained prominence in the late twentieth century as an emerging region of analysis in the changing International order, especially in the post-cold war period. Though the geographical explanation of the region remains fluid, yet it is an important geo-strategic sphere in international political order. Since the beginning of 21st century, there is a shift in the structural power and leadership, paving way for other nation-states to emerge as significant poles in a global multipolar world, witnessing new dimensions of politico-economic, socio-cultural, security issues. There are various challenges and strategic complexes of Asia-Pacific, which is evident at local, regional, and global level which cannot be dealt singlehandedly.
