The UK-India Education and Research Initiative (UKIERI) is the flagship bilateral collaboration programme between the United Kingdom and India, established in 2006 to strengthen education and research ties between the two nations. Over the years, UKIERI has facilitated over 25,000 academic exchanges across 4,500 educational institutions, fostering mutual understanding and collaboration.
In 2023, UKIERI entered its fourth phase, aiming to:

The Scheme for Promotion of Academic and Research Collaboration (SPARC), an initiative of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, aims at improving the research ecosystem of India’s higher educational institutions by facilitating academic and research collaborations between top ranked Indian Institutions and globally ranked Foreign Institutions, through Joint Research Projects involving mobility of students and faculty.
