Concept Note

Multi-omics technologies are becoming more prevalent in the development of biotechnology for the manufacturing of a wide range of products. Researchers have been able to perform disease subtyping, survival prediction, biomarker prediction, risk pathway identification and comprehend biological systems, which facilitates the optimization of biotechnological processes toward increased production of healthcare products. For our community to further benefit from the distinct approaches of data integration and analytics in the biotechnology field, the methods need to be reproducible, scalable, provenance trackable and there should be data transparency. Omics data integration and data analytics has aided in the development of biotechnology around us. It has transformed our perspective of healthcare and provided us with an extension of achievements from groundbreaking applications to the refinement of existing processes. In the forthcoming years, multi-omics data integration and data analytics will become instrumental in all biotechnological research. Researchers around the globe are becoming aware of methods to tackle the biological big data available and determine the key inference. This workshop will aim at raising this awareness and in this way, it will contribute to the development of biotechnology.
