International Conference on Signal Processing and Integrated Network "SPIN -2025" inaugurated at Amity

Amity School of Engineering & Technology (ASET), Amity University Noida organized the 12th International Conference on “Signal Processing and Integrated Networks (SPIN 2025)” from 20th to 21st February, 2025.

Inaugurating the Conference, Prof. Sanjay Gupta, Global Head of Engineering and Chief Development Officer, L&T Semiconductor Tech, averred, "At present there is no dearth of opportunities for Indians to work in different fields across the world since Indian talent is getting worldwide recognition. India is growing at a rapid pace and by 2030 it will become a $ 5 trillion economy. Today, India's electronic manufacturing market is worth 100 billion dollars, however, exports are low, compared to the huge imports. Imported chips are being used in every electric vehicle, mobile, laptop etc., whose consumption is also very high in our country. However, due to the semi-conductor plants being set up in India, the imports will reduce significantly and create unlimited opportunities in the field of technology production and distribution of energy. Such conferences are immensely beneficial for the students as they will enhance their knowledge and learning to a great extent, understanding the challenges and finding solutions.”

Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, said, “The main objective of the conference is to bring industry and academia on one platform so that students get encouraged by listening to the experiences of experts. Learning and acquiring knowledge must never stop since it is a lifelong process and there is no end to learning. The right skills and attitude will lead the students towards success in life. At Amity, we prepare the students to become future-ready so that they keep themselves updated and informed in the ever-changing global business scenario.”

Addressing the students, Dr. Abhilasha Gaur, CEO, Sector Skill Council, NASSCOM India, stated, "Today, we are spending every moment of our life with electronics, so the field you have chosen for your career has a very bright future. Our education system is based on “Satyam, Nityam and Poornam” which means truth, discipline and fulfilment lead to development. Life is always full of challenges, and we must face them courageously and confidently.”

Dr. Matty Latva Aho, Director of the 6G Flagship of the University of Oulu, said, “The 6G flagship is the world's first 6G research program, a global leader in 6G adoption, and a preferred research partner in 6G development. We conduct high-quality 6G research to create future information and sustainable solutions for the needs of society in the 2030s. The world is rapidly moving towards 6G technology, and the future looks very promising for us.”

Dr. Vivek Lall, Chief Executive of General Atomic Global Corporation, USA, said, "The latest innovations in signal processing and integrated networks are accelerating the pace of information technology. Collaboration between U.S. and Indian institutions is promoting joint research, joint projects and student and faculty exchanges. Industry-academia partnership is crucial to bridge the gap between the technologies which are required and the ones which are already existing.”

Dr. Manoj Pandey, Director Amity School of Engineering & Technology, said, “SPIN-2025 aims to bring together the academia, industry, entrepreneurs, and researchers to discuss the challenges, advancements, and prospects in the fields of Signal Processing, Image Processing, Computer Vision, Medical Image Processing, AI, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Smart IoT, 5G/6G, Mobile Communication, WSN, RF, Antenna, UAV, Robotics, VLSI, Micro & Nano Electronics,  Bio Sensors and other related areas.”

An Abstract of Conference Proceedings was also released during the Inaugural Session.

During the two-day Conference, Keynote Talks on various topics such as “AI Ethics in Education”, “Confronting the Rise of Erudite Illiterates”, “Future Societies are driven by Sustainability and Resilience”, “Physical Layer Security in Cell-free massive MIMO” will be conducted along with Paper Presentations.
