Amity Human Values Quarter commences with a Panel Discussion on the theme, "Strategies for Transforming Society through Human Values"

Amity University Uttar Pradesh commenced the celebrations of the Amity Human Values Quarter-2025 with an Inaugural Ceremony on February 12, 2025. In order to instill humanistic values amongst its students, Amity University has been observing “Amity Human Values Campaign”, every year, thereby providing the students and entire Amity fraternity the opportunity to work for the society.  

 

The event started with the invocation of Goddess Saraswati with Mesmerizing Vandana sung by the students of B.Ed. and  lighting of the lamp by the esteemed guests Acharya Manish Kapoor, Adhiroha Yog Sanskriti, Dr. Suman Khanna Agarwal, Founder, Shanti Sahyog NGO,  Ms. Archana Jha, Trustee Sri Institute of Agricultural Science and Technology,  Dr. Lianboi Vaiphei, Associate Professor, Department of Political Science, IP College for Women and the members of organising committee of Human Values Quarter. Prof. Nirupama Prakash, Director, Amity Institute of Social Sciences  welcomed the august gathering and expressed her gratitude to the visionary leadership of Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President Amity Education Group. She highlighted his belief that human values serve as the foundation for all other attributes, ultimately leading to success. She further emphasized upon Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity Humanity Foundation’s, belief that a nation's development is best measured by its Values and Sanskars. The event was graced by the address of Addl. Pro-VC & Dean FMS, Prof. (Dr.) Sanjeev Bansal, wherein he motivated the gathering to become more humane and inculcate good values.

 

The Panel Discussion on the theme, "Strategies for Transforming Society through Human Values", delved into varied topics of concern ranging from Importance of Karma, Role of Meditation, Gandhian Philosophy (Non-Violence), Natural farming as an Ethical and Sustainable Approach and Empathy as a Social Catalyst. The discussion concluded with a unanimous agreement on the transformative power of human values. The speakers urged the audience to integrate these values into their daily lives to contribute to a more just, peaceful, and sustainable society. The event successfully inspired attendees to reflect on their roles in societal change and motivated them to take meaningful actions. During the panel discussion, students asked meaningful questions which were answered by panellist. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Jayanti Pujari with a promise to continue the activities planned ahead under AHVQ with the same spirit.
