Theme: Managing Organizations during Pandemics and VUCA World
Today’s world is constantly changing and becoming more dynamic with each passing day, where unpredictable dramatic changes, both big and small are happening vastly. It is becoming too difficult to determine the cause and effect of such changes. It’s becoming more difficult to anticipate events or predict how they’ll unfold; historical forecasts and past experiences are losing their relevance and are rarely applicable as a basis for predicting the shape of things to come. It’s becoming nearly impossible to plan for investment, development, and growth as it becomes increasingly uncertain where the future is heading. Decisions are reduced to a tangled mesh of reaction and counter-reaction – and choosing the single correct path is almost impossible. In a world where the “what” takes a back seat to the “why?” and the “how?”, making decisions requires courage, awareness, and a willingness to make mistakes.
Such dynamic situations are asking thought-provoking questions about what is necessary and what is worth doing. Organizations and individuals remake their plans for the future during the global pandemics. Strategies have to be comprehensive and complex as the multi-dimensional challenges emerge out of these pandemics.
Due to these pandemics, the global environment is undergoing transformation and there has been a quantitative and qualitative shift in business opportunities along with paradigm shifts in the political, social and economic structures across various nations Usability of innovations in information technology in our daily lives is being observed. Due to this state of disturbances, business strategies and models in organizations are in a state of flux and therefore the challenge to manage business requires new ways of thinking.
The conference aims to provide a forum for Corporate Practitioners, Consultants, Policy Makers, academicians, research scholars & students to discuss and dialogue on the ways to manage the organizations during Pandemics & VUCA World.
